Introduction

Intro (00:00)

This is 15 Minutes of Freedom. I'm your host, Elite Life Optimization Coach Ryan Nidell, and today is day seven of Faith Week. It has been quite a week so far, has it not? We covered meditation, we covered journaling, we covered focus, we covered hierarchy. We have covered all types of different things, all of which don't have anything to do with what religion you believe in. Again, I want to make sure I say this over and over again. I honor whatever it is that you believe to be the ultimate source of power. God, a unicorn, Big Bang, an energetic ball somewhere high in the sky. I don't care. It means nothing to me. What it does mean is that we accept the fact that there's something greater than us to give us a sense of not only purpose in the world, but also a place in kind of the global scheme of how things could operate. And I share that from this place of getting dialed into the next step of the conversation about faith. This will be uncomfortable for some, potentially you. talk about the use and the advantageous awakening that has happened for me with the strategic use of psychedelic intervention. When I say strategic use of psychedelic intervention, what that really means is using psilocybin, magic mushrooms, mushrooms, whatever you'd like to call them, to tap into a greater source, not to escape the current reality. I'm not using mushrooms or psilocybin, however you'd like to use it. I'm not using that to escape something that goes on now. I'm not using it to sedate away from who I am. I'm not using it to do anything other than to tap into the source, the source of life, the source of love, the source of ultimate truth. I'm using it to awaken a part of me that was dormant for the first 34 years of my life. first 34 years of my life. It's incredible. It's truly a whole different deal. And then I bounced from psilocybin into DMT, dimethyltryptamine, or essentially ayahuasca. Now there's multiple different forms of DMT. There's multiple different ways to take it, to smoke it, to ingest it. I'm only discussing the sacred medicine of ayahuasca. And being able to use that to get into who I am as a person. These things have increased my awareness and my spiritual connection in a way that I had never fathomed to be possible before.

Perspectives On Plant Medicine And Its Effectiveness

Drugs Are Bad, Right? (03:33)

These things are difficult to explain, but I'm going to do my best. The first 34 years of my life, I was absolutely convinced that drugs were bad. That noise in the background was my elevated desk changing heights as I'm leaning on it from standing up behind it. So I was convinced for the first 34 years that drugs were just bad. I'm part of the dare generation, part of the drugs are bad. I was never someone that smoked pot., tried edibles once or twice, didn't ever care about any of that stuff. Never tried cocaine, never tried psychedelics in high school or college. None of this stuff mattered to me. I can honestly say I was fairly free of judgment for it. Just the people that I knew that were doing it, I certainly judged. So I wasn't judging the use of the medicine or drugs at that point, but I was judging in my mind the way that the people were showing up in life that were using it. And then as life progresses and business progresses and I get around a different group of individuals I start finding out that there's a large large number of people that produce at a very very high level that have had profound experiences with ayahuasca and or mushrooms. And it begins to pique my interest. It piques my interest so much that I start doing hours of research, right? Because I'm analytical by nature. I want to find the bad before I can assume the good. And I track down as much stuff as I can. Specifically, not knowing any idea on how to get ayahuasca in the States, specifically not knowing any idea on how to get ayahuasca in the states, really went deep down into the rabbit hole of psilocybin, magic mushrooms. And other than the occasional instance of someone taking way too much, also typically having another drug in their system, climbing up on a high building and jumping off like thinking they can fly, I couldn't find anything bad. Couldn't find anything bad because you can't overdose on it. It has no long-term effects. Well, negative long-term effects. It has no long-term effects. Well, negative long-term effects. It also, from the research that I did, has no negative feedback loop or dependency curve that exists. Like, all right. Research, research, research. Get to the point where I'm like, all right, I'm ready. I'm ready. I got to track some of this stuff down. And I'm going to get over the curve. But before I can get over the curve, I have to convince my wife it's a good idea. Because she too is a non-drug user. Because we're going to keep looking at these as drugs for this moment. And I share with her. And if she is nervous, petrified, don't do it. You're going to unlock things you don't want to unlock. You're going to see things you don't want to see. Don't do it And so I delay and I delay for a long time But it keeps calling me right I'm curious I have to know And so Eventually get to the point where I say look I respect your opinion. I Love what you are saying to me. I agree with the fact that some things could go wrong. But I've done the research. I feel very confident where I'm heading and I'm going to do this. I have a reliable source from a good place in the world. I have a good feeling about this.

I believe in magic week Psilocybin episode (07:24)

And I would like you to watch, not participate. good place in the world. I have a good feeling about this. And I would like you to watch, not participate. And she agrees to. And there's an episode that I released quite some time ago. If you go back and look, it's called I Believe in Magic. You can listen to that whole experience. I won't bore you with it right now. What I will share with you on this faith-based week is that taking a small dosing of psilocybin, magic mushrooms, when added to my green smoothie in the morning, this was two grams, very small. It allowed me, for the first time in my life to truly appreciate the beauty that something greater than us created all around us the trees the leaves the grass the wind blowing the Sun high in the sky also the love from my wife and the interconnected nature of all of us. The beautiful part about psilocybin is it showed me this lesson, right? It taught it to me. But it did in such a way that was very gentle and that I get to own forever. It doesn't go away. It's not like, oh, I did it, so now I have to do it again and again and again and again, and I'm not chasing some sort of arbitrary high. What it did was rewire what I felt to be love and what I know about myself in connection. And it's incredible. It was so eye-opening for me being an analytical A-type personality, being a producer, being a high-level individual, that I instantly said, if I had one wish in the world, it would be that everybody could try psilocybin. I truly believe there'd be less wars, less conflict, less ego of needing to prove ourselves to be right. So many things would change if everybody would just try it for just one time, when the time is right, when you've done some work on yourself, when you don't use it to escape reality, when you do it to tap into something greater than you. That's exactly what I did, and it changed everything. Now fast forward, and with various ways that life takes its twists and turns, had a handful of experiences with psilocybin, all of which were truly profound. Now, this is over the course of a year or so, and I don't know the exact, maybe six months. And there is a point in which it has had a diminishing return. Now, again, this is less than a handful of times, right? Now, a handful to me is five. And so I know the feeling of love. I know the feeling of connection. I know the feeling of love I know the feeling of connection I know the feeling of something greater I know the feeling of God higher power source whatever I have faith in is also in me and so we are one in the same I know all this now because I feel it it's not a word it's not a concept it's an emotion it's a feeling, it's a feeling, and it's a belief. And so from that very point, I can't say that it's taken its path with me, but I don't know that there'll be another experience that I need to have. Who knows what the future will bring, but this again, there's no point where I've woken up jonesing, scratching my neck saying, I need some of that psilocybin today. It just does not work that way at all. Then we press the gas, right? Then we change. We eventually jump into ayahuasca. And ayahuasca requires us to travel out of the country and head down to the great country of Costa Rica. I have an incredible experience at a resort called Rhythmia. Rhythmia ends up providing four consecutive days of ayahuasca dosing from four separate shamans and four different lineages and four incredible experiences that stack on top of each other. And all the goodness and all the connection and all the love and all the spirit that I got to experience with psilocybin gets to go to a completely different place with ayahuasca. Ayahuasca shows things from this worldly view. We would say ayahuasca is the mother. Mother nature, mother earth. So much so that we could even say the higher power according to ayahuasca would be a woman. And so the four different experiences were documented fairly well over a week that I share on Rhythmia Week. Not too long ago. You can go back and listen to each individual one if you're curious. But Ayahuasca does things that are so profound that again, I feel like if there was a gift for me to give to you, it would be to come to Rhythmia and experience what this is.

Plant Medicine Reframes Your Psychological Perspective (12:40)

Where it shows me who I had become. It took me back into places and moments in time that I had blocked out from my subconscious and allowed me to reframe who I am in the present moment based off the perception of reality that I had that was created a long time ago. And once it does that, it actually merges with me with my soul, right? It shows me who I am supposed to be at a soul level so I can finally quit doubting myself. So I can stop running. So I can stop feeling like an imposter. So I can stop all the things. It works on that part and it provides me clarity. And then things switch into healing my heart. Because there's a part of all of us that has a broken heart. Someone has hurt us, someone has done wrong, or we have done wrong to ourselves and hurt ourselves. And this medicine literally puts those pieces back together, which allow you to go forward and share your soul's purpose. These things together are incredible. And every one of which reminds me of how we are all truly connected. We're in this maloca in Costa Rica with myself and 62 other individuals and we are sharing story after story after story and they're all a different version of the same story. If you have any doubt and a belief that there is something greater going on than we can see or conceptualize, that medicine as I will refer to it, will change your belief of that. But in order to do that, or to use psilocybin to touch a deeper part of your spiritual connection, there's part of you that has to get out of your own head, right? Because the things that drugs are bad. Well, I don't disagree with that. Let's look at somewhere like Denver, Colorado or Oakland, California that has now legalized DMT, ayahuasca, psilocybin. And they're legalizing it because the research is actually showing that for those of us that struggle with chemical dependency, heroin, alcoholism, part of us that it's like a building block was left out of our Jenga set, These medicines give us that peace back and allow us to be a whole person again that doesn't require something to escape any longer.

Denver and Ayahuasca (15:32)

That's what this is all about. That to me is the most impactful thing that can happen from the use of these medicines. As you connect with the source, you connect with something greater than you, it gives you peace and clarity. And the path to get there might not be the path you want, right? Ayahuasca can be a purging experience, right? There's a certain amount of releasing of negative energy that happens for most people. a certain amount of releasing of negative energy that happens for most people. Taking a psilocybin journey can feel a little bit like motion sickness. It can be confusing in the moments. It can be very curious. But these two things, when put together, at least for me in stackable order, have taken away all the necessity to push and be so hard-nosed and to be aggressive and to doubt myself. And all that comes from a connection to something greater than me. And a connection to you. I guess I truly believe in my soul. You and I are brothers and or sisters because we're all mirrors of each other in some capacity. The man or woman with the greatest success that you know in your life is internally dealing with the same struggles that you're dealing with and vice versa. And it's one thing to say this out loud. It's a whole nother thing to experience it in a moment. And then it's yet one final thing to be able to recreate and live that moment every day without needing something to have you escape this reality, but to simply show you what reality is. And I believe that to be the ultimate entry point, the ultimate reason why these naturally occurring products are found to be so impactful.

Ayahuasca Merges With Your Soul Revealing The Source (17:14)

Mushrooms grow in my, like where I would get them from, they come from cow dung, cow feces. How are we saying? Ayahuasca is a combination of a root and a leaf that's brewed into a tea. They come from nature.

Nature as Medicine (17:50)

They're grown from the ground. They come from nature. They're grown from the ground. They come from the source. And someone didn't make these in a lab. Someone didn't manufacture them. I can go on for hours and hours about the impact of these two specific items. But I want to have you consider, just consider the fact that these might not be bad. That the pieces of you that are left dormant might be opened by using these to open those doors. Now there's a chance as you've listened to Faith Week here and you've listened to this show about plant-based medicine that you have some additional questions or you'd like to experience some of these. I'm now part in some capacities of Rhythmia as a company. I fully admit I have bias to them for the incredible experience that I have now had with ayahuasca at the resort. But I am leading a group of individuals back down to the resort July 21st through the 28th. This will come with a complimentary 21-day lead-up of coaching into the experience to ensure you receive your gifts in a way that you couldn't even imagine. If you are interested in this, I ask that you email me, Ryan at Life Optimization Group. I will introduce you to the exact right person inside of our corporation, inside of Rhythmia, who will help facilitate the onboarding process, answer any questions, and I too can answer a tremendous amount of questions for you. It is a life-changing experience. I know that there's a part of this that you're curious because this plant, when it's time, right, whether it's ayahuasca or whether it's psilocybin, when you become curious about it, it starts tapping on the shoulder. And maybe there's a chance that that tapping on the shoulder is actually that higher power, that spirit, that guide, that God, that universal energy that's starting to call you home. starting to call you home. So for those of you, you yourself that's listening, that is not sure about a higher power, not sure about how we're all connected, not sure if any of this is mumbo jumbo, I think you're the ones that need this to experience this the most. So I ask of you to ask me whatever questions you have and come join us. It would be amazing to spend time with you, share space with you, and to be there for your awakening into the greatest version of yourself.

Guided Transformation And Growth

The Effectiveness of Transformation & Growth Work (20:36)

I believe in this so much that many of my coaching protocols are now changing. What takes 12 to 14 weeks to work through in a mental capacity before we get into even producing at a huge level, this medicine helps trim that down. Imagine how impactful it would be to have three weeks getting to the root cause of some of the issues, setting some good intentions, spending a week in Costa Rica, getting really, really, really clear on that, getting rid of that stuff, and then coming home and building the week after. Instead of the normal way, which is we spend 10 or 11 weeks working on the stuff that didn't work in our lives, spend two weeks working on business, pouring fuel on now a well-lit fire, and saying at the end, like, man, I want to keep going. And I love that, right? Because it gives me an opportunity to work longer with people and make an even larger impact. But this medicine does something different. And it opens up different pieces that allow you to view the world differently and see new opportunities that you weren't aware of or that were there before, but that were always right in front of you. If any of this sounds like you, reach out to me, ryan at lifeoptimizationgroup.com.
